FAQs
Thinking About Booking…
Is this experience really for me?
Yes. You don’t need a reason or a milestone. If something about this experience has been calling to you, that’s enough. You’re allowed to take up space and celebrate yourself exactly as you are, right now.
I haven’t been feeling great about myself. Should I wait until I feel more confident?
Honestly, this is the perfect time. Most of my clients don’t walk in feeling confident. They leave feeling it. You don’t have to “fix” anything or wait until you’re in a different version of yourself. You’re allowed to feel seen now.
Do you photograph clients of all sizes?
Yes. All the time. Every body type, every age, every style, you are welcome here. I’m intentional with posing, lighting, wardrobe, and the entire experience so you feel confident and at ease.
I’m a teacher / public figure / private person and don’t want my images shared. Can you guarantee privacy?
Yes. Your session is 100% confidential. Nothing is ever shared without your written permission. Many of my clients choose to keep their images completely private, and that is always honored.
Booking + Planning…
How far in advance should I book?
8+ weeks is ideal. My calendar fills up fast, especially around busy seasons. That said, if you're on a tighter timeline, please reach out as there may be a last-minute opening.
I need the photos by a certain date. When should I book?
If you’re planning this as a gift or want your products by a specific date, book at least 10–12 weeks ahead. The final artwork takes time to produce, and I want everything to be perfect.
What’s the investment?
The photo session creative fee is $790, and from there, you choose what you love after viewing your images. Most clients spend between $4800–$9500. This isn’t a “quick shoot.” It’s an experience, and one that often ends up meaning more than you imagined.
Can I just get the digitals?
Yes. Every image you purchase includes the matching web-resolution digital file. But I also offer beautifully made prints, albums, and wall art because these deserve to live somewhere special, not just on a hard drive.
Prepping for Your Session…
Do I have to wear lingerie or get naked?
Not at all. You can wear whatever feels good to you. Some clients go full-on cozy sweaters, some love sheer layers, and some go bold. It’s completely your choice. We’ll plan the shoot around your comfort.
Can we make the photos feel sexy… but still me?
Absolutely. Sexy doesn’t mean one thing. Maybe it’s powerful and raw, maybe it’s quiet and sensual, maybe it’s a little playful. Whatever you want it to feel like, we’ll capture that version.
What if I don’t know how to pose?
You’re not expected to. I’ll guide you through everything, where to place your hands, how to breathe, and when to move. I watch for all the little details so you don’t have to. You just show up and I’ll take it from there.
What should I wear? I’m overwhelmed.
You’ll get a full prep guide with outfit ideas, styling tips, and shopping links. Plus, you’ll have access to my curated studio wardrobe, think vintage, sheer layers, and pieces I’ve sourced over the years that photograph beautifully. And if you need help shopping, I can send links to pieces I recommend.
Can I bring something meaningful, like a jacket or a piece of jewelry?
Yes. If it means something to you, it’s worth including. We can make it subtle or central, depending on your vision.
Can I bring someone with me to the session?
Yes, you’re welcome to bring one friend for support. This is your space, and I want you to feel as comfortable as possible. For maternity sessions, partners can join at the end. If kids are coming, please bring someone to help keep them occupied.
Why isn’t hair and makeup included in the session fee?
Because not everyone wants it. Some clients go fresh-faced, some do their own, and some opt for full glam. I want you to have the choice. If you want professional styling, I work with amazing artists and can book it as an add-on.
Session Day…
What if I get nervous or second-guess everything before the session?
That’s normal. Everyone has that “what was I thinking?” moment. But once you arrive and we get started, everything settles. I’ve got you.
What if I’m awkward in front of the camera?
Most people think they are. The good news? You don’t have to “perform” for the camera. I’ll guide you through it all. This is about capturing you as you are, not making you into someone you’re not.
Where does the session take place?
My studio is located in New Hope, PA (Bucks County). It’s private, full of natural light, and designed to feel calm and cozy. Travel sessions may be available by request.
Do I need to bring anything with me?
Just yourself and maybe a few outfit options if you’re bringing your own. You don’t need to overthink it. If there’s anything personal you’d like to include in your images, feel free to bring that too.
What if I cry during my session or photo reveal?
Then you cry. It happens often. This experience can bring up a lot. You’re safe to feel all of it here.
After the Shoot…
What happens after the session?
We’ll set up your photo reveal and ordering appointment. You’ll see all your images and choose what you love most. I’ll walk you through the process and answer any questions as you decide on your artwork.
How long until I get my images and products?
Turnaround times vary, but final products can take up to 10 weeks. Digitals are delivered sooner. Everything is handcrafted and worth the wait.
